I believe my calling is to serve in the children's ministry. Twice in my life I have had similar visions. Once as a young college student, I asked God what He wanted from me. He gave me a dream. In the dream I saw faces of children. They were dirty and hungry and crying out for help. These faces became so overwhelming that I awoke startled. Deep in my heart God said to take care of these children. I began teaching in Sunday School. That was in 1985.
The second time was about 3 years ago. I was praying for a new children's pastor, because we were not able to keep one for too long. Every year pastors came and went and it was not doing our children's ministry any good.
So, I started praying asking God to send someone who would stay for awhile and who would love the children and be a good shepherd. God spoke to me early then. He said, "What about you?" I was surprised. I replied, "If you want me to lead the children's ministry then let the head pastor okay it." Within a week the head pastor asked me to lead the children's ministry. I am still here today, because God has called me to be. I will remain until He tells me otherwise.

제가 생각지도 못한 Sunday School Teacher 을 하게 되었을떄, 전 정말 자신이 없었습니다. 너무나도 제자신이 부족한것을 알았고 저는 누구에게 성경을 가르치기 전에 저자신이 더 많이 배워야 될께 많다고 생각했기 때문입니다, 그러나 주님께서는 저에게 이 일을 주셨습니다. 가르치면서 제가 오히려 더 성경에 대해 많이 배우게 되고 말씀을 읽게 하셨습니다. 그렇지만 아무리 공부해도 부족한 저로써 아이들에게 가르칠수 있는것은 제가 받은 주님에 사랑이였고, 그래서 제가 아이들에게 줄수있는것은 제가 주님께 받은 사랑이였습니다.
제가 강조하는것 또한 아이들이 주님께서 아이들 한명 한명을 사랑하신다는 것을 가르치고 있습니다. 그리고 가르치면서 느끼는 것은 우리 아이들이 너무나도 주님을 순수하게 믿고 사랑하고 있다고 생각한 것입니다. 성경의 역사와 지식을 아는것도 물론 중요하지만, 너무나도 순수한 아이들에 주님에 대한 사랑을 듣고 느낄때 제자신이 부끄럽게 느낄떄가 있고 많은것을 배우기도 합니다. 제가 지금 하는일들이 모두 주님의 계획안에 이루어지고 있음을 믿고 있으며, 앞으로도 열심히 가르치겠습니다.

Hi!
Being a teacher is so much fun. I love to sing songs, read the Bible, and share with the kids. Dancing and doing hand motions are hard, but I know it pleases God. The Bible has many mysteries of God for us to figure out. Through our sharing the kids and I are able to connect and pray for each other.
We are learning to love Jesus together!

My involvement in children's ministry started when I was in high school. Ever since then, God has blessed me so much... directing and shaping me to serve him through teaching kids at Sunday School. I find being in the children's ministy a great blessing because I get to participate in His work.. which reminds me of a Korean gospel song "싹트네~ 싹트네~ "
The children's ministry is so very important and it carries big reponsibility introducing "God" into their life and guiding them through the Gospel.

For me, my mission field has always been children's ministy. I love teaching and I love working with kids! It's exciting for me to come each week and spend time sharing God's love with the children.
It's so important to build a foundation for children where Jesus is the cornerstone. Teaching children is a privilege for me, and I feel blessed to teach them. I've been teaching in children's ministry since 1999 and currently at Hana Church, I teach the 5th and 6th grade class. My class knows that out permanet home is heaven with God, and this earth is our temporary home. Therefore, we are sent on earth to do missions by preaching His word.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20

I thank God always that he has shown abundant love for me. Knowing this in my heart, I want to share the love of God with everyone. I'm so thankful that God gave me opportunity to serve in Hana Children's ministry to teach.
My favorite bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord..."
